Whiz Kids: Young Triathletes Swim, Run and Bike for a Good Cause

Three First Montessori School of Atlanta students competed in the recent Tri for Tourette Kids Triathlon at the Concourse Athletic Club.

Accomplishment:
First Montessori School of Atlanta third-graders Paul Huebner and Donovan Burns, along with sixth grader Anna Burns, participated in the Tri for Tourette Kids Triathlon, a USAT sanctioned mini-sprint triathlon that benefits Camp Twitch and Shout, a one-week camp for children with Tourette Syndrome, and the Tourette Information Center and Support of Georgia.

FMSA Students Plant Pinwheels for Peace    
...Art teacher Theresa Dean coordinated the FMSA project. Students wrote their thoughts about war, peace, tolerance and living in harmony with others on one side of the pinwheel. On the other side, they drew, painted or collaged something that expresses their feelings. Imagination, creativity and a mild breeze are the only requirements....
