	Tuition setting practice at First Montessori is to include all fees in tuition as possible and to limit the step increases over the 12 years students are enrolled.  Therefore, tuition includes all expenses except optional and personal expenses.   First Montessori does not charge book fees or activity fees as those commonly assessed in some private schools. However, small individual expenses may be incurred in connection with class projects and costumes for class productions or the annual opera production. Fees are associated with some optional school events, such as the Montessori Mile and the Spring Auction.   Tuition includes: Classroom supplies, Media Center resources, Art supplies, IMPACT dues, class-wide local field trips, overnight trips to the Poplar Springs Landschool, Suzuki music instruction for Upper Elementary students, and annual class photographs.

	Deposits/Fees A $75.00 non-refundable application fee is required with all new applications. In addition to tuition, First Montessori charges a New Student Registration Fee of $500.00. This fee is non-refundable and is due with the initial tuition. A $1,000.00 tuition deposit is due along with signed tuition contracts. Tuition deposits are non-refundable. Tuition Payment Plan Options Plan 1- One Payment Plan with early payment discount $1,000 DEPOSIT DUE WITH CONTRACT: (For Returning Students, contracts and the deposit are due March 15. For New Students, contracts and the deposit are due at time of acceptance.) Tuition deposit is credited against tuition. Tuition Deposit and New Student Registration Fee are non-refundable. TUITION BALANCE DUE BY June 1: All families who pay tuition and all other applicable fees (New Student $500 Registration Fee) by June 1 will receive a 2% discount. Payments postmarked or hand delivered after this date are not eligible to receive the discount. Plan 2-One Payment Plan $1,000 DEPOSIT DUE WITH CONTRACT: (For Returning Students, contracts and the deposit are due March 15. For New Students, contract and the deposit are due at time of acceptance.) Tuition deposit is credited against tuition. Tuition Deposit and New Student Registration Fee are non-refundable. FULL TUITION BALANCE DUE BY July 15: For Students enrolling after July 15 tuition balance, and all other applicable fees (New Student $500 Registration Fee) are due before the student attends classes. Plan 3 –Six Payment Plan (Administered by FACTS Tuition Management) $1,000 DEPOSIT DUE WITH CONTRACT: (For Returning Students, contracts and the deposit are due by March 15. New Students, contract and the deposit are due at time of acceptance.) Tuition deposit is credited against tuition. Tuition Deposit and New Student Registration Fee are non-refundable. TUITION BALANCE: All families paying the tuition balance and all applicable fees (New Student $500 Registration Fee) via FACTS must complete the FACTS enrollment process 3 weeks prior to first payment. The initial withdrawal or credit card payment will be made on the 5th of July or the 20th of July. Subsequent bank withdrawals or credit card payments will occur in five monthly installments. For Students enrolling after May 15 and choosing Plan 3, the FACTS enrollment process must be completed before the student attends classes. Plan 4 - New This Year - Nine Payment Plan (Administered by FACTS Tuition Management) $1,000 DEPOSIT DUE WITH CONTRACT: (For Returning Students, contracts and the deposit are due by March 15. New Students, contract and the deposit are due at time of acceptance.) Tuition deposit is credited against tuition. Tuition Deposit and New Student Registration Fee are non-refundable. Tuition Balance paid in nine monthly installmnets beginning April 5th or April 20th.

	Tuition installment plans are administered by FACTS Tuition Management and all tuition payments must be received by the end of December.  FACTS tuition payment agreements must be completed at least 3 weeks prior to the first payment date. Even if tuition was paid by credit card last year, a new enrollment must be completed each year. Credit cards accepted are MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The FMSA Institution ID is 26917. Electronic Bank Account Draft: (FACTS charges a $41 one-time set-up fee.) For families who used FACTS bank account draft last year: There is no need to enroll again if your bank information has not changed. Please call or email Terry Thompson at 404-252-3910, x 213 or tthompson@firstmontessori.org to get your account set up for the 2011-2012 school year.   For families choosing FACTS bank account draft for the first time: Sign up by filling out an agreement online via e-Cashier conveniently from your home or work. Simply type the website address (shown above) in the internet browser. Enter the Institution ID (26917) and PIN Number (30327). Follow the directions for entering the remaining information. 	Financial Aid
	In addition to setting tuition to include all expenses except personal and optional fees, the tuition setting philosophy of First Montessori is to have a simple structure with few step increases across the 12 ages served.  Using the simplified fee structure, families enrolling multiple students or experiencing hardship are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid.  First Montessori has been fortunate to increase the number of awards by more than double over the past 3 years and strives to continue this trend.  The Financial Aid process is confidential, utilizing a 3rd party financial aid evaluation service selected by the school. School and Student Service (SSS), is currently sed as the independent service to analyze financial need and to make a recommendation regarding an award.  The most recent IRS form 1040 is needed to complete the process.  Applications are made online at www.sss.nais.org  Our SSS site ID is 1188.  Applications can also be obtained from the Business Office.    Deadline and notification dates Applications are due by February 15th for the upcoming school year.  Awards are communicated to families in March and responses to the school are due no later than April 15th each year. The range of awards is between 5% and 50%, however there is no guarantee of an award and applications must be submitted annually for reconsideration.   Tuition deposit and payment plan Families who have applied for an award may return re-enrollment contracts and defer tuition deposit payment until award notifications are made.    Families receiving an award may utilize any of the payment options offered by First Montessori.  Various payment plans administered by FACTS Tuition Management are available.  Families who wish to utilize a payment plan may need to begin payment as early as April in order for final payment to be received by December, in accordance with First Montessori's standard practice.  For those who select to pay in a lump sum, a 2% discount is available if tuition is paid by June 1st each year.  If not utilizing a payment plan, tuition is due in full by July 15th each year.
