HUMANE SOCIETY PROJECT
By: Anna, an Upper Elementary student
Three months ago, UEC students in Livia’s class, Alex, Chloe, Josie, Sara, and Clementina, and I had an idea. It was to raise money for the Atlanta Humane Society, or AHS.
We made a list of things we would like to do, including a drive and a table at International Night. Now our idea is coming to reality. We are selling blue-rubber bracelets at International Night for $2.00 each. They will say, “I saved a pet today”. For the drive, we are collecting cardboard paper towel tubes, rags, old newspapers, and plastic bags.
On January 19th, we visited the AHS and took a tour. Seeing all those animals was like putting fuel on the flame. Our desire to help these animals is even stronger, and we hope you understand and are willing to help.
